| The objectives of the Youth Jobs
web site is to address the labour force transition faced by
youth seeking employment as well as the human resource need
experienced by businesses and other employers to recruit youth.
With its relative ease of access and capacity
to deliver content the Internet is an ideal medium to provide
youth with the tools and resources needed to effectively
seek income-earning activities. This is of particular importance
to youth living in rural areas who traditionally have not
had easy access to this information.
Employers are further provided with information
on Youth Programs and Services and a convenient on-line
form for submitting job opportunities to the HRDC job bank.
YouthJobs.ca is a project of the Acadia
Centre for Small Business and Entrepreneurship in association
with Human Resources Development Canada (initial development
support was provided through the Youth Employment Strategy).
